Louis Vuitton Agenda Size Comparison: GM vs MM vs PM vs Desk Agenda

In this blog post, I’ll walk you through everything you need to know about the Louis Vuitton agenda, including the different sizes, portability, writing space, and refill options. Louis Vuitton Agenda Sizes

The Louis Vuitton agenda comes in four different sizes, each designed with its own unique layout and purpose. In this guide, I’ll walk you through the dimensions of each size, the refillable inserts they accommodate, their inside pocket configurations, and the key things to consider before making your purchase.

PM Small Ring Agenda Cover

Dimensions: 10 cm wide x 14.5 cm tall x 2 cm thick. Or, 4 in wide x 5.7 in tall x 0.8 in thick.
Insert size: The PM agenda holds standard Pocket 6-ring paper (81mm x 120mm or 3in x 4.7in). However, something to note is that the Louis Vuitton agenda refills are slightly taller than a standard pocket size insert, which May Paper Co. has also adopted, at 81mm (3.2”) wide by 126 mm (5”) tall, to maximise the space in the already tiny PM agenda cover. Due to how small the Pocket-sized refills are, you may find the size too cramped if you have larger handwriting.
Layout: The front of the agenda features three cardholder pockets along with a vertical side pocket, while the back includes one additional vertical pocket. These slim pockets are ideal for storing receipts, tickets, or small photos, making the PM planner both practical and versatile. It comes with six evenly spaced binder rings measuring 10mm (0.4”) in diameter. However, I highly recommend upgrading to Krause 16mm (0.6”) rings. The larger rings provide extra space for inserts and make flipping through pages much smoother. Weighing around 200g when filled, this agenda is a great lightweight option. Its compact size and button clasp make it highly portable, even allowing it to double as a wallet. MM Medium Ring Agenda Cover

Dimensions: 13 cm wide x 18.5 cm tall x 3 cm thick. Or, 5 in wide x 7.3 in tall x 1.2 in thick.
Insert size: The MM planner is designed to fit Personal-size inserts, which some people may find a bit narrow. If you prefer a little more width, the FC Compact size can be a great alternative—just keep in mind that side divider tabs will stick out, so you’ll need to use top tabs instead. Personal Wide inserts, however, are too large and won’t fit inside the agenda cover. Layout: The front of the agenda cover has 6 business card pockets and one horizontal side pocket. The back cover has one secretarial pocket, perfect for receipts or paper and includes 25 mm (1”) binder rings with a 5 cm (2”) gap dividing the 6 rings in half.

Sitting comfortably between the PM and GM, this size strikes a great balance between portability and practicality. It slips easily into most totes or handbags, making it convenient to carry throughout the day. While the larger rings and increased paper size do add some weight (bringing it to around 500g when filled), they also allow for more inserts and flexibility in how you use your planner.

Compared to the PM, the added size makes it far more functional for everyday planning, without sacrificing too much portability. It also features a button clasp, keeping everything secure while you’re on the go.

GM Large Ring Agenda Cover

Dimensions: 18 cm wide x 23 cm tall x 3 cm thick. Or, 7 in wide x 9 in tall x 1.2 in thick.
Insert size: The GM agenda holds A5-size refills, which is great for those with larger handwriting or those who need to do extensive note-taking and planning.
Layout: The front of the agenda cover features one horizontal pocket alongside two secretarial pockets, while the back includes both a horizontal and a vertical pocket for additional storage. Unlike the smaller sizes, this agenda does not include any cardholder slots, giving it a more streamlined interior. It comes with six binder rings measuring 30mm (1.2”) in diameter, offering plenty of room for inserts. The rings have a 7 cm (2.8”) gap between them

This is one of the more popular sizes, thanks to its spacious writing area and generous room for planning. It features a button clasp to keep everything securely contained while you’re on the go.

That said, its larger size does come with added weight (around 900g when filled), making it less ideal for everyday portability, especially if you’re constantly moving around. Instead, the GM Louis Vuitton agenda works best as a desk planner that you can bring along to the occasional meeting, rather than carrying it with you all day.

Desk Agenda Cover

Dimensions: 18 cm wide x 23 cm tall x 3 cm thick. Or, 7 in wide x 9 in tall x 1.2 in thick.
Insert size: The Desk Agenda holds a half-letter insert at 14 cm (5.5”) by 21.6 cm (8.5”), which is comparable to the A5, making it equivalent in writing space to the GM.
Layout: The front of the agenda cover has one horizontal side pocket, one secretarial pocket, and one vertical side pocket. The back cover has one vertical side pocket, six card pockets, and one smaller horizontal side pocket. This agenda does not come with binder rings, giving you the flexibility to include your own disk or ring-bound system or slide in an A5 notebook.

This agenda is similar in size and capacity to the GM, but features a slimmer profile since it doesn’t include binder rings. Designed without a button clasp, it has a more minimal, streamlined structure and is best suited for stationary use.

Despite its sleeker design, it has a similar weight to the GM due to its overall size and storage capacity. However, without rings or a clasp to secure everything in place, it’s less practical for carrying around, as contents can easily shift or slip out.

For this reason, it works best as a desk planner. It’s an especially great option if you like the flexibility of switching between disc-bound, ring-bound, and notebook inserts, allowing you to customise your setup with ease.
